Collect rent from your properties regularly to keep the city treasury full. Be careful though, collecting rent late increases maintenance costs as bills are paid off later. You'll see an orange icon for late rent. If it is too late, all of the rent will be gone to maintain the building, and you'll have to repair it to get it back to normal!

FAQ What are experience points and how should I get it?

Every time you construct something, you will gain Experience Points. Accumulating experience points allow you to level up, which unlocks new buildings for you to build!

Why should I build decorations? I don't care if my city is ugly!

Aw, don't think like that! Decorations not only make your city look better, it also increases the adjacent building's value and star level. As a result, you'll get a rent bonus and collect more coins!

How does zoning work?

The value of a building increases when it looks nicer. Try constructing more decorations around your building to increase its value. This will raise the value and increase the star level, which means you can collect more rent!

Why should I store my buildings?

Sometimes, your Itty Bitty City will run of land space! At this point, you can either add Neighbors to expand your city or store some of your lower level buildings in storage. This frees up space for you to build bigger and better buildings! Remember though, storing your buildings will decrease your overall Experience Points and population by a little bit.

Why should I sell my building?

Sometimes, you're just a bit short on coins to construct an awesome building. Try selling your building! Once you sell your building, the building will become vacant until you buy it back. Depending on the market, sometimes you can sell your buildings for a higher price. You might also be able to buy it back at a discounted price! So be sure to check the buy/sell prices whenever you can to make the best deal possible!

Why should I build a residential, commercial, or social building?

Certain building types will give you a certain advantage. For example, residential buildings will increase your population more than the others. Construct your buildings according to what your Itty Bitty City needs to expand!
