Bar Society is a game where each player runs a bar, a place with drinks, bands, dance floors and much more. Each player starts out with a small setting and a small staff. By making and serving drinks, the player earns virtual coins, which in turn can be used to expand the bar, hire staff, decorate the venue, and add amenities.

You are the owner of your bar and your character should reflect that! If you are unhappy with your appearance at any time, you can easily change it by clicking on the shirt icon from the lower left hand menu (in between your drink list and the decor buttons). This brings up the customization screen where you can easily modify skin color, facial features, hair and eyes as well as purchase new clothes and accessories with your hard earned Bar Coins! You can also edit your character by clicking it in game.

Moving around your bar is easy - Hovering over action items such as bartenders, serving carts, or menu icons will provide a brief description of the item and its current state. Clicking on an interactive item such as a bartender brings up the action menu allowing you to choose what you'd like to do with it (for example, clicking an idle bartender to begin mixing a drink or to serve a fully mixed drink).

You should hire a friend as bartender to mix drinks. To do so, click the Manage Friends icon and select one of your friends. The new hire will automatically be placed behind a bar counter, ready to mix a drink. If a bar counter is not available, you can purchase one by click the Functional icon on the menu.

If a bartender is idle you can begin mixing a new drink by clicking on him. This opens up the Drink List where you can choose which drink you wish to make. The cost of a drink is different depending on how long they take to fully mix and how many Bar Coins you make from serving them. You¡¯ll gain more Bar Points, the experience points in Bar Society, by making drinks. Plan ahead by mixing drinks that will become ready to serve the next time you check back in on your bar. Moving your mouse/cursor over a fully prepped drink will display its current progress. This is shown as a progress bar with a percentage to completion.

Drinks take anywhere from 4 minutes to 2 days to become fully mixed and ready to serve. Click on the finished drink to have your Owner begin serving it - but be sure to have enough room! Mixing additional servings of drinks that you are already serving will add them to the same serving cart, however, mixing a new drink requires an empty cart to serve it on. Your variety in drinks is limited by the number of carts you have in your bar, the more counters you have, the wider variety of drinks you can serve!

If you run out of carts to serve a new drink you have the option of deleting an in-progress drink still being mixed by the bartender. Careful! Once a drink is deleted it cannot be returned.

Care should be taken not to leave fully mixed drinks on the bar counter for too long! Drinks will start to spoil if they sit around. Spoiled drinks are useless and must be thrown out before you can begin a new drink.

Actions like mixing, serving, and helping friends award 'Bar Points'. As these points accumulate your level increases, unlocking new drink recipes, gifts , bartenders, waiters, and serving carts!

Clicking the Customize Icon (the couch icon in the menu) activates decoration mode. While in decoration mode you can purchase a variety of items to place and move around your bar. To purchase an item click, hold and drag it into your bar, then let go. You can also move items around your bar in this manner.

Decor: This category holds all the decorations and bar-related items you can purchase for your bar. Tables, chairs, bar stools, wallpaper, windows and doors can all be purchased with your earnings to make the bar of your dreams.

Purchasing: Purchasing items is as easy as left-clicking and dragging the item to the appropriate place in your bar. Be absolutely sure you like what you're placing before letting go of it in your bar because as soon as you let go of the left mouse button, that item is purchased! If you change your mind, you can click-drag the item back into your inventory, or drag it over the register to sell it back for a reduced price.

Selling: Selling items is as easy as purchasing them! You can sell items directly from your bar by left-clicking and dragging them out of the bar and hovering over the cash register on the right side of your inventory. Letting go of the left mouse button sells the item. You can sell any extra inventory items in the same way, just click and drag it from your inventory to the register. Rotating: Any purchased object in your bar you can easily be rotated by left clicking it- 2 red arrows will appear above the object. Clicking the arrows will rotate the object, keep clicking until it is positioned to your liking. Click on any other object within your inventory to deselect the rotated object.

Functional: This category holds all the bar counters, serving carts, and dance floor tiles you can use in your bar!

Expand Bar: This section allows you to purchase larger floor plans. With more room to expand your bar you can serve more customers, create some real style and maximize your cash flow! Most expansions are limited by the number of neighbors you have so be sure to invite them to play Bar Society with you.

You can receive gifts from your friends as well as send them gifts. Gifts can be drinks that you can use for coins, or sometimes even limited edition decorations! Send your friends gifts often and they'll be sure to return the favor. The gift page can be easily accessed by selecting 'Free Gifts' from the top menu bar.

By using the NEIGHBORS page (found in the top menu bar next to the Play! option) you can invite friends to be your neighbor.

All of your Neighbors are shown at the bottom of your game screen. By clicking 'Visit'on a Neighbor from the bar, you travel to visit that friend. When visiting a friend you haven't done a job for that day you will get an offer to perform a job to help that player. Performing a job awards experience and money. Invite new friends by clicking on 'ADD NEIGHBOR' from the game bar. You'll also leave your friends a tip by helping them out. Make sure to look out for your own tip notifications from your friends also!
